Bumberpot

A kind of an ode to a Grecian urn, this artist makes an off-handed reference to the ancient Greek black figure attic amphorae (vases). Here too, silhouetted humans enact their little stories. But instead of a terra-cotta background as in the originals, here they cavort against glossy, bright, twentieth century colors on a vase flattened and angled like something out of a cubist painting.
