Dedication with Chrysanthemum

These objects offer a surface that is primed for decoration and ornamentation. I love how heavy decoration can seem parasitic yet is beckons to be adorned and looked at. My use of flowers as decoration lends itself well to funerary objects. Flowers are a symbol of offering and care that I find visually beautiful. They make me smile. –Artist statement
