Plateau Geometric # 146

Feddersen, an internationally exhibited Native American artist, investigates sign and process – it capitalizes on a personal connection of memory interwoven in pattern.  The inquiry draws basic elements pulled from basket designs of my ancestors from the Inland Plateau Region of the Columbia Basin…Step patterns, Mountain patterns and Butterfly patterns are the linear structures of these repetitive compositions.  The land is reduced to pure abstract forms.
