The artist is a noted painter and writer with artwork included in many private and public collections throughout the country. “These paintings were inspired by a trip I took down the Colorado River in 1999. Ravens inhabited our camp at each site. They rifled our packs, stole our shinny objects and generally kept an eye on us. I thought I would tell a bit of the story of my falling from the raft and then being rescued, viewed through the shape of a raven.” –Artist statement
