Geometricists

Menco is of Dutch-Jewish heritage, a second generation, post-war Jew.  He is a scientist who investigates the cellular biology of the senses of smell and taste.
In his printmaking he rarely uses concrete references, but rather works from inner visions with a poetic narrative.  My images don't necessarily tell a story but rather portray imagist reflections of inner feelings, similar to some poetry.  My work carries a certain mystery; my images are very much 'inside out.' –Artist statement
