Drought

My sculptures are meant to be both provocative and amusing. These figures live in their own peculiar world where scale and meaning are turned topsy-turvy. They express the juxtaposition of emotions that are part of life: humor and fear, joy and ambivalence, mystery and danger.  Some of the work is funny, but the humor is black and meant to evoke nervous laughter. –Artist statement
