Originally, tapestries were made to convey stories as well as cover, decorate and insulate the cold stone walls of  European castles. Here, a modern day cousin of the traditional woven wall hanging tells no story, opting instead for the presentation of somewhat disorienting optical patterns. And while it doesn't need to insulate the wall it's on, the vibrant color conveys an impression of heat.
