Georgetown And The Duwamish

This body of work explores the visual identity of areas of greater Seattle that I term ‘pockets,’  Such areas include Belltown, Rainier Valley, White Center, the International District, Ballard, Tukwila or Kent, and Georgetown, as opposed to the more popular seven hills of the city.  The series includes my personal response to these areas and more generally my investigation into Seattle’s history and how they presently relate to the gestalt of the city. –Artist statement
