Tantric Marriage

The artist is best known for her remarkable beaded sculpture, however she was trained as a painter, ceramicist and printmaker.  A Chicago native, she enrolled herself in drawing classes at the Art Institute of Chicago when she was in grade school.  After moving to Seattle she received her master of fine arts degree in printmaking at the University of Washington.  After moving to Seattle she received her master of fine arts degree in printmaking at the University of Washington. I am after beauty, with an edge of uncertainty, vulnerability, and power.  I use animal metaphors to explore issues of intimacy, closeness, and separation.  Her paintings show animals with startlingly guileless, human-like expressions.
