Skaters

Skaters, is narrative and romantic in concept, and multicultural in intent, Set against the backdrop of a Garfield High School baseball field, a young male skateboarder moves away from his mates to gaze in wonder and surprise at a teenage girl all the way across the picture space. She, grouped with her girlfriends on the far left of the image, likewise turns from her companions to coolly meet his eye. –Artist statement
