After years exploring ideas of architecture as viewed from the finished façade, I returned inward to the idea of the foundation and what comes before. Still inspired by balance, perceived symmetry and weathered beauty, this work explores the collaboration between man-made structures and how their surfaces are affected once exposed to natural elements over time. –Artist statement
