Desiderium

Juan Alonso came to the United States on March 2, 1966 at the age of 10, fleeing the Revolution in his native Cuba.  In 1982 he moved to Seattle with painting as his main focus in life.  His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the U.S., Canada, and Latin-America.  Awards include an Artist's Residency at Centrum Foundation, a Special Projects grant by the King County Arts Commission, and the 1997 Behnke Foundation Neddy Award.
