Blazar 3

Blazar 3 is a hypothetical star based on scientific conjecture and intuitive image making. It offers a new view of that which we cannot see with the naked eye, where images sent back from the outer reaches of space are not seen as mere scientific truth but deeply layered with our collective curiosity. My work is process driven, made from a period of research and experimentation around a concept, eschewing the limitations of a linear narrative for an experiential cinematically influenced experience or sequential work. I see the goal of all of my work as a means to visualize things we cannot see. I am an interdisciplinary artist who live s and works in Portland Oregon. –Artist statement
