The Melt

The Melt is part of a series of prints titled Gone Trees, a theme she has explored in her art as a reaction to logging near her home. It captures the rich textures of the Northwest by means of engraved lines in plaster, using multiple plates to produce reliefs in the print. Spring melt of glacier water was created by means of six separate plates. –Artist statement
