Pomegranates

I enjoy making images from life, sometimes literally and sometimes just from impressions of my surroundings. I may insert my own thoughts, feelings, and opinions into the scenario, but I always like to provide a sense of location. Pomegranates and The Queen Makes Her Move are both images from a residency in Ascea, Italy. While I was there, the pomegranates were ripe and Ascea’s rich Italian history and small town characters were an endless source of inspiration. –Artist statement
