Laundry day

The painting Laundry Day is a result of my continued interest in everyday things. My girlfriend procrastinates folding laundry and the resulting mountain of this denial sits upon her bed…growing. The random shapes and colors were a delight to paint and, in the development process the introduction of the pets interacting with the laundry elevated the scene dramatically. –Artist statement
