Point De Fusion ii

With the intention of generating an awareness of the earth’s changing climate, Point de Fusion iii, depicts a mountainous landscape that appears to be melting into abstraction. The intention of this body of work is to incite a need for change, enhancing awareness of an issue that affects us all. The title, Point de Fusion, references the melting point of an object at atmospheric pressure. The artist’s hand is seen in the digital manipulation of the photograph, with vertical lines descending towards the bottom of the frame; a gravitational pull of the viewer’s eye towards an ‘unknown’. –Artist statement
