I created this painting, Fox Sleeping Under the Tree of Life (Night), while working on the Fox in the Henhouse series, which addresses the discordant politics of the moment. I incorporated elements of this drawing into my sculpture The black background in the drawing reflects the darkness of the times. –Artist statement
