Montlake

Artist Statement: I visited both the Montlake and Magnolia project sites several times. The conditions were difficult on most occasions due to smoke-filled skies from regional fires during the late summer of 2020, restricted access, and delays in the progress of work at both sites that made it impossible to show these SPU projects in different stages of completion as my original concept envisioned. In the end I approached these assignments as I would any other subject, looking for things of interest and giving them the best possible artistic treatment in accordance with my tastes.
