An assemblage of imaginary creatures with both human and animal characteristics, featuring one large, central “mother” figure surrounded by and connected to many small and medium sized “children.” Soft-sculpture figures sewn entirely by hand from artificial fur and other fabrics.
This artwork installation marked the first time a community clinic and county health center were co-located in a City-owned facility.

Artist Statement: The creatures signify the unity of people. All the different colors and shapes, they recognize humanity. My sculpture is a reflection of my philosophy of life. I see everyone and everything as being connected. We’re all dependent on each other, and we support each other, whether we know it or not.
