Untitled (North Seattle)

This painting depicts a residence under construction Seattle. Since moving here in 2000, I have seen countless homes demolished to make way for new construction. This massive single family residence makes me think of it as an architectural beast that represents my uncertainty and fears about the future of the city and whether people like me will be able to afford to live here. –Artist statement
