Shhhhh, Did You Hear Something?

My work is generally humorous and can have a dark edge sometimes. This particular piece is one where initially you see two Cardinals enjoying a bounty of berries and cookies but as you look closer you see a cat with big eyes staring in the window as if he has hit the jackpot. I sometimes wonder if my love of opera and comical situations comes from too much cartoon viewing as a little kid. –Artist statement
