The Queen Makes Her Move

I enjoy making images from life, sometimes literally and sometimes just from impressions of my surroundings. I may I insert my own thoughts, feelings and opinions into the scenario – but I always like to provide a sense of location.  “Pomegranates” and “The Queen Makes Her Move” are both images from a residency in Ascea, Italy. While I was there the pomegranates were ripe, and Ascea’s rich Italian history and small town characters were an endless source of inspiration. –Artist statement
