Culler Living Room

Taking everyday objects and transforming them into works of art resulted in several series of bronze sculptures and watercolors on paper. The sculptures presented mundane tools from around the house: a toilet plunger, a mallet, a light bulb. The 2-D works were made as portraits of objects you would expect to see on the wall, the common light switch. Painted in watercolor on paper, framed and hung on the wall, these works reveal the personality and individuality of light switches and plate covers, objects we wouldn't give a second look otherwise. –Artist statement
