I have always been great at day dreaming. I have always been fascinated with clouds, shadows, cracks, puddles! You name it. My rich imagination and sense of humor and possibility are well served by a steady hand and a love of drawing. Drawing allows me to express myself in healthy ways that help others to accept me and enrich my life and that of my family. I was fortunate to find inspiring people and teachers who helped me to develop my skills and build bodies of work that I draw upon constantly. I feel that my art is a vehicle that helps me to explore and express shapes, colors, and ordinary events. I am a patient and attentive listener and observer. Every day I look forward to going to my sketchbook or my studio. No matter how insignificant something may seem, there is always an infinite universe behind it all.  –Artist statement
