Armenia is the country where my father was born the year of the genocide (1915). To me, the Armenian church presents many meanings.  From an architectural point-of-view it is always a powerful and simple building with few windows, made from local stones.  Its power symbolizes the fate of a people who survived relentless attacks from their neighbors over 20 centuries and their willingness to remain faithful to their spirituality and culture.
