The women in the image are being over-whelmed by the sheer number of clothes. The anonymous figures climb over and battle with the twisting mass creating an image to which most anyone living in our modern, consumerist society can relate. We are reminded of the ways we physically and metaphysically battle with excessive objects in our lives. –Artist statement
