The pieces Bauhaus and Black Lives Matter were both created in my studio in Renton, WA in the beginning months of the Covid-19 pandemic and the uprisings across the world for racial justice. In the piece Bauhaus I am exploring architectural space and design, and how that space effects the way we live in it. This was of course influence in no small part to the fact that I have been quarantined in my studio space for several months. What kind of world can I invent inside these four walls? –Artist statement
