Susan Point is one the most renowned indigenous artists in North America. She is a member of the Musqueam Coast Salish Nation and has been a working artist since graduating high school. Susan was the first artist make a breakthrough in the Northwest Coast art world using only Salish designs and elements, becoming the primary inspiration for hundreds of Salish artists working today. Susan continues to produce prints, but is widely recognized for her major sculptures and works in cities like Vancouver, Seattle, Denver, New York and Washington, DC. She has many honors and recognitions, including being an Officer of the Order of Canada.
